Subject: Tenure-Track Faculty Position at the University of Zurich

Dear Andrej,

The University of Zurich will soon announce an opening for a tenure-track assistant professor position at the Department of Biochemistry (https://www.bioc.uzh.ch). Your field of research is among the directions that will be of great interest in this search. I would thus be grateful if you could inform excellent candidates of this opportunity or send me their names, so I can contact them directly. The University of Zurich is aiming to increase the number of female faculty members, so we would especially like to encourage the application of women.

We have a tenure-track system similar to the US, where assistant professors can be promoted to associate and full professor upon successful evaluation. Furthermore, the University of Zurich offers generous research support, including a competitive start-up package, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and annual core funding for personnel and research expenses. Below please find the preliminary advertisement for the position with additional details.

I will inform you once the position will be announced officially on the university website, but since the application deadline will already be in March, we would like to give potential candidates enough time to prepare a research summary and the documents required for the application.

Thank you very much for your support!

Best wishes,

Ben
