I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to ask your help in recruiting. I have 2 openings in my group at NIBR-Emeryville (CA), one junior and one senior position.
We are building up a department in Emeryville around our core expertise involving protein science, structure & biophysics, computational & medicinal chemistry. Our drug discovery focus
will be on “targets in context”. The context for the targets includes other partner entities as well as the context of time (dynamics and kinetics). From a computational chemistry perspective, this means a focus on simulating large(r) multi-component complexes
with the aim to understand mechanism and opportunity to modulate, including the design of novel therapeutics. From a computational medicinal chemistry perspective, a strategic focus will be on effective exploration of chemical space. This includes using multi-objective
optimization combined with exceptional predictive modeling tools, generative chemistry, recommenders, and effective design cycles.
I would very much appreciate your recommendations of potential candidates who have a passion for discovering drug candidates and who have skills in the area of macromolecular modeling &
simulations and/or machine learning & data science. Experience in experimental structure & biophysics work or experimental medicinal chemistry would be an advantage (but not a requirement). Please let me know if you have anybody you would recommend I talk
