I would like to call your attention to the on-going call for junior group leaders.
This call is open (no thematic preferences); the Department of Structural Biology and Chemistry encourages applications in cryo EM in particular.
The Institut Pasteur has recently substantially invested in expanding the existing electron microscopy infrastructure with a high end 300kV Titan Krios equipped with Bioquantum / K3 and two high end 200kV Glacios / Falcon III Cryo-TEM’s. Combined with the existing Tecnai F20 (200kV FEG) equipped with a Falcon II and two Tecnai 12 (120kV LaB6), institute Pasteur is well equipped. For in situ cryo-EM, an Aquilos cryo-FIB has been installed in addition to a Zeiss cryo-FIB SEM.
Institut Pasteur also houses significant platform service infrastructure for sample purification, sample analysis, etc (DLS, mass-spec, NMR, etc), to support young researchers to pursue a scientific career in the center of Paris.
Details of the call can be found
here (
https://research.pasteur.fr/en/call/creation-of-new-junior-research-groups-at-institut-pasteur-g5-2020/). The deadline is on the 31st of January 2020.
I would be very grateful to you if you could transfer this information to suitable candidates.
Best regards
Michael Nilges
