Hi everyone, 

The Business Club at UCSF invites you to our first event this academic year, Business Careers for Scientists: Considering the Options. 

Dr. Jenny Rooke will give an overview of business careers for scientists from her own experience. 
Dr. Jenny Rooke drives innovation in the life sciences through investing and business building around brilliant scientists and engineers with novel technologies. Her investing experience includes roles at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and at Fidelity Biosciences, a healthcare venture capital firm. Dr. Rooke held multiple executive roles at U.S. Genomics, a venture-backed biotech start-up advancing single molecule detection technologies for diagnostics, biodefense, and research tools. Previously, Dr. Rooke was a management consultant with McKinsey & Co., where she advised leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies on business strategy. Dr. Rooke earned her PhD in genetics from Yale University and her BS in physics from Georgia Tech.
