The Department of Biochemistry at the University of Utah aims to hire five new tenure-track faculty members over the next few years. Our faculty is highly ranked for scholarship and we enjoy close interactions with colleagues in other School of Medicine departments as well as elsewhere on campus. A supportive, collaborative environment fosters creative science and our combined interdepartmental graduate programs in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Biology provide a good stream of outstanding students. While our emphasis is firmly on scientific excellence, we are fortunate to be located at the interface of a vibrant yet affordable city and pristine, accessible mountain wilderness.
Our priorities for new faculty colleagues are scientific excellence and potential synergy with areas of strength in the Department and elsewhere on campus. Your research interests are among our target areas for a new faculty recruit.
