Assistant/Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Western New England University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate faculty position in Medicinal Chemistry in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences. This is a 12-month tenure-track appointment that offers an exciting opportunity to join an innovative learner-centered academic program. The Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences consists of 13 faculty from the various disciplines. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and group communication skills, record of scholarly activity, desire to create a culture of academic success, and an entrepreneurial spirit.


A doctorate in medicinal chemistry, or related field with relevant medicinal chemistry experience is required. Prior experience as a faculty member in higher education and/or a post-doctoral fellowship is desirable. The successful candidate will teach in the professional Pharm.D. program and will be expected to pursue research and scholarly activity along with appropriate service to the College, University, profession, and community. The College has strong research instrumentation, including a new 400 MHz NMR spectrometer, HPLCs, an IR spectrometer and a peptide synthesizer.
