REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Graduate-level degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a life science discipline (bioinformatics, biology, biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, bioengineering, etc.). Candidates with a degree in another natural science, computer science, information technology or a related discipline will also be considered but must have a track record of research experience in computational life science * Two years post-graduate work experience conducting computational biology research (academic, government, or industry)* Proven record of working with Next-Gen Sequence (NGS) analysis including RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, whole genome assembly. * Extensive experience with large genomic data sets, as exemplified by the following areas: microarray analysis, high-throughput sequence analysis, automated annotation, gene prediction, population genomics, quantitative genetics, comparative genomics * Experience working in a command line environment including compiling and configuring bioinformatics software * Experience with extracting, manipulating, and integrating data from public biological data repositories (e.g. NCBI, Ensembl, UCSC). * Proficient programming skills with at least one scripting language (Perl, R, Python, Ruby, etc) * Strong interest in science and technology and ability to rapidly adopt and adapt to leading edge technologies * Excellent oral presentation and communications skills * Advanced ability to work independently under established deadlines and as part of a team PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Demonstrated success in publishing computational science results and in presenting data to senior management * Experience managing projects involving advanced computing and information technologies used in life science research in academia, government laboratories, and/or industry * Proven Appreciate you reaching out to you network!!
