Dear Andrej,

I would like to draw your attention to the opening for a group leader position in the Cell Biology and Biophysics Unit at EMBL Heidelberg, as recently advertised in Nature and Science.

We are looking for outstanding junior scientists with a background in biology, physics, chemistry, engineering or mathematics that want to pursue original and interdisciplinary research in cutting edge molecular cell biology and/or technology development in the areas of imaging technology and computational modelling of dynamic cell biological processes.

Although there is no age range, we generally hire group leaders early in their careers, often after their first postdoc and sometimes immediately after their PhD. We therefore strongly encourage highly promising young and particularly also female candidates to apply. EMBL group leaders are provided with a very generous internal support package and a highly collaborative environment.
