Dear Friends:

I have funding for the position that Marco Punta just left in April this year to join Pfam. The official position is as Fellow ("for life" with funding for <3 years; official 'title' Carl von Linde Fellow: mind you is one those who helped toward inventing the fridge and one of those scientists who went out and made money) of the Institute of Advanced Studies @ the TUM. It comes with a lot of freedom, high visibility, and fair funding. Applicants would have to be in Germany most of the time and would be expected to use this as a jump board to find a tenure-track position somewhere.

Any of you has any proposal? Ideally, I'd like to find a woman for this, because those are very much underrepresented in the list of current fellows.

As always, this is unfortunately very urgent (application deadline: Nov 1).
