[Compbio-allhands] Immediately available: Two postdoctoral positions in stochastic thermodynamics

We seek to hire two postdoctoral fellows to work on projects probing the fundamentals of nonequilibrium statistical physics, thermodynamics, information theory, and control theory. Both positions are at Simon Fraser University, home to a leading research effort on these questions and related areas of biophysics. We are just outside Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, universally agreed to be one of the most livable cities in the world. One position is for a theorist, supervised by David Sivak, dsivak@sfu.ca. For details, see http://davidsivak.com/. One position is for an experimentalist, supervised by John Bechhoefer, johnb@sfu.ca. For details, see http://www.sfu.ca/chaos/. Interested candidates should send a cover letter and CV (including publication list and contact information for 2-3 references) to the appropriate address above. We are committed to ensuring that no individual is denied access to employment opportunities for reasons unrelated to ability or qualifications. Candidates who belong to underrepresented groups in Physics are particularly welcome to apply. Please forward this announcement to any interested parties. Thank you in advance!
