Hi Andrej,

I am looking for candidates who would like to apply with my group for the Interdisciplinary Postdoc Fellowship programme (EI3POD) fellowship at EMBL. If you think it could be interesting to someone from your lab or in your network, I would be grateful for forwarding this e-mail.

The EI3POD fellowships are funded by EMBL and a grant from the EC’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions COFUND programme and provide funding for a three-year position. Applicants design and submit interdisciplinary research project involving two or more groups from the six EMBL sites. Additional external partners from academia or industry may also participate as defined by the research interests of the fellows.

Research areas that currently are relevant for my group are: 1) integrative structure modeling based on EM and other data of protein complexes, viral genomes, and viral particles, 2) analyses of the nuclear pore complex, 3) systems biology and pathway modeling of infection cycles, 4) cell and molecular biology of influenza virus infection in our wet-lab. We would provide training in integrative structure modeling, interpretation of electron microscopy and other data, and, through EIPOD project partners, other techniques at EMBL.
