Hi, I am trying to model a protein in chimera using the model loop command. I get this error: Modeller temporary directory: c:\users\admini~1\appdata\local\temp\modellerjtn4xd Unable to run modeller: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified Do you know where I am going wrong? Best wishes Halina

Hi Halina, You should really use the Help->Report A Bug menu item to report bugs/problems. Your report is actually a classic case why -- I don't know what version of Chimera you are using and therefore don't know if you are referring to the 1.6.2 "Model Loops" tool or the 1.7 "Model/Refine Loops" tool (they are considerably different)! I will open a ticket in the Chimera bug database for your report and we can work from there. My best stab at what the problem is from your description is that you haven't provided the correct path to your Modeller binary, regardless of which tool you were using. --Eric Eric Pettersen UCSF Computer Graphics Lab http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu On Dec 10, 2012, at 9:39 AM, Mikolajek H. wrote:

Hi Halina, I definitely recommend using Chimera 1.7 (daily build) since the newer tool is a lot better, and you can also use a web service to run Modeller. The Chimera 1.6 Model Loops requires Modeller installed on your own computer. Daily build download: <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/download.html#daily> Description of Model/Refine Loops tool in Chimera 1.7: <http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimera/docs/ContributedSoftware/multalignviewer/modeller.html#building> If you still have a problem, however, as Eric mentioned please use "Help... Report a Bug" in the Chimera menu to report it. Best, Elaine ----- Elaine C.
