In the next ChimeraX daily build, there is a GUI setting for setting the "Window color scheme", which is a platform-independent way of saying the UI's color appearance. Bring up the the Favorites / Settings dialog, select the Window category, and then choose your Window color scheme. The default is to use the system setting. You can also force light or dark mode. -- Greg
