The ChimeraX movie command just takes images of the graphics as fast as it can and then makes a movie that plays back at a fixed frame rate (default 25 frames/sec). If ChimeraX captured frames slower than that (which is usually the case) then the recorded movie looks sped up. That might not be what you want. And it cannot capture the mouse pointer while screen capture programs often do capture the mouse pointer. On Windows I have used FlashBack Express that even highlights where the pointer is to make it more visible. On Mac, QuickTime can do screen capture of a region.
