Hello Marie, The filename suffix for ChimeraX command files is “.cxc” (“.com” and “.cmd” are suffixes for Chimera, not ChimeraX). http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/usageconventions.html#cxc-files
However, in ChimeraX, besides the filename suffix you could use the “open” command with “format cmd”: http://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/open.html#miscellaneous
