Dear ChimeraX Development Team, I am Jackie NG from a cryoEM group in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University interested in molecular visualization and analysis. I am writing to express my interest in contributing scripts to the ChimeraX library, specifically for inclusion in the ChimeraX Recipes. Sharing my scripts could benefit the community and enhance the utility of ChimeraX for various applications. The scripts are mainly quality-of-life improvements on copying selected parts of models, producing map-quality representations, organizing ligand chains, and many more. Please let me know if there is a process for submitting these scripts and any specific guidelines I should follow. I am eager to collaborate and contribute to the ongoing development of ChimeraX. Thank you for considering my contribution. I look forward to your response. Hi Jackie, We would be happy to have contributions to the ChimeraX Recipes page. I made most of the current pages. The only requirement is that they describe how to use them clearly enough so others can figure it out -- usually that just means giving an example. I like to include an image to illustrate the result if it makes sense to do so. The github repository that creates the ChimeraX recipes web page is here https://github.com/RBVI/chimerax-recipes That will give examples of how the Github markup is formatted to make a page. The web pages are automatically created from this repository by Github. One way to contribute recipes would be to just make a github pull request on this repository, then I can look and approve them. That is probably best. Thanks! Tom
