no text in log gui after ubuntu 22.04 upgrade
Hi, I was wondering if you have some suggestions for me to solve a problem I have after upgrading to ubuntu 22.04. I am running UCSF ChimeraX version: 1.3 (2021-12-08) and after upgrading ubuntu the log window in the GUI has no text. If I use the command "log save chimerx.html" and open chimerax.html in a browser I can see everything I expect in the log. It is just not being displayed. Update your ChimeraX installation to the 1.4 release candidate for Ubuntu 22.04. You need the newer version of the Qt user interface toolkit that comes with 1.4 (and the corresponding code changes in ChimeraX). -- Greg On 5/30/2022 12:36 AM, Sean Connell via ChimeraX-users wrote:

Thank you very much for the quick response :) Yes chimeraX 1.4 works good, I just use Isolde a lot and am hesitant to go to 1.4 as I think Isolde will not install there. Yes, just wait for now. There will be a new version of ISOLDE for 1.4 "soon" after the release is finalized. We expect to finalize 1.4 this week or next unless a major bug is discovered. Dr. Croll will weigh in on how long it will take for a newer ISOLDE to come out after that.
