Re: [chimerax-users] command line way for inverting selection
Hi,
I am looking for a way to invert selection without reaching for the tool bar. I would like to know if there is a way to invert selection via the select command ( or some other command)
thanks a lot, Amith
Amith,
The `select ~sel` command inverts selected atoms. In general, any specifier can be prefixed with '~' to invert it.

Hi Amith, Just as a tip, almost all user interface actions in ChimeraX log the equivalent command, so using the menu item Select→Invert logs the command that Tony mentioned -- though it doesn't include his useful explanation of '~'. :-)
