Image as the background
Dear ChimeraX users! I'm wondering if it's possible to set the custom image as the background in a Chimera-x session in the same way as in the Chimera? If it's not possible, will this feature be included in future versions of Chimera-X? Many thanks in advance Enrico
Hi Enrico, That is not currently possible in ChimeraX. We do have an enhancement-request ticket (#6650 <https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/trac/ChimeraX/ticket/6650#comment:1>) open for it, but it wouldn't seem to be too high a priority since you can currently save an image with a transparent background and add any background you like with most image-editing programs. I have added you to the CC list for that ticket. Or do you actually want to change the background to an image for interactive use for some reason? --Eric Eric Pettersen UCSF Computer Graphics Lab
