transparentBackground doesn't seems to work on save

Hi all, We are trying to save an image without a background using save image filename format png transparentBackground true but we get the error: transparentBackground expected key word. What are we doing wrong? Thanks, Yehuda Halfon

Hi Yehuda, That exact command save image filename format png transparentBackground true works for me in the following version: UCSF ChimeraX version: 0.8 (2018-11-30) UCSF ChimeraX version: 0.7 (2018-08-07) I get a file named filename.png in ~/Desktop/. Maybe you are using an old version that doesn’t have the option? I think it’s been in there a long time, however. Make sure you are just entering plain text without special characters. Also shorter versions of command are possible, e.g. save filename.png transparent true … but my testing just now used exactly the same command that you did. I hope this helps, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Hi Elaine, I tried it now on my laptop which has 0.8 and both commands work, I'll check maybe on my workstation in my office I have an older version.
