Hello,
After using ctrl-left click to select an atom, I use “info selection” as instructed in the manual. However I received the following error message:
TypeError: 'str' object is not callable
File "/Applications/ChimeraX.app/Contents/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.6/lib/python3.6/site-packages/chimerax/list_info/util.py", line 50, in spec return o.atomspec()
See log for complete Python traceback.
If you wish to report this error, send mail to chimerax-bugs@cgl.ucsf.edu and describe what you were doing and include a copy of the contents of the log. Don't include any data you wish to remain private since a publicly viewable bug report will be created.
If I use “info selection atom” then:
info selection help:user/commands/info.html#selection atom Expected a keyword
What am I doing wrong with? Please advice.
Best,
Wei
Hi Wei, I believe the traceback from “info selection” is a bug.
The “atom” level is already the default, but if you wanted to specify getting atom attributes, the command would be “info selection level atom”
http://rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/docs/user/commands/info.html#selection
However, it doesn’t help because the bug is still the same. Sorry about that, Elaine ----- Elaine C. Meng, Ph.D. UCSF Chimera(X) team Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry University of California, San Francisco
