Research will focus on developing and applying molecular docking algorithms based on implicit ligand theory, a new theoretical framework for binding free energies based on rigid receptor configurations (http://dx.doi.org/10.1063/1.4751284<http://link.aip.org/link/doi/10.1063/1.4751284>). Ideal candidates will have strong computer programming skills, a background in computational/theoretical chemistry or physics (especially statistical mechanics), and interest in chemical biology and drug discovery.
