Forwarding your question. However, when you get a Chimera error and you think it may be a bug, instead of using e-mail it is usually more helpful to use the Chimera menu: Help... Report a Bug. Also make sure you are using a recent version of Chimera. If you haven't updated in a while, you should try the newest release, then if you still get the error, you could report it.
