As projects are collaborative endeavors between several labs, the Fellows will have the opportunity to be jointly advised by two or more faculty members of the Center. The most promising designs will then be validated and characterized experimentally. For this position, I am looking for someone with a strong background in computational chemistry, biophysics, structural biology, or a related field. Experience with free energy calculations, umbrella sampling, Rosetta, or related tools is a strong asset. Depending on the interests of the applicant, there could also be an opportunity to gain wet lab experience, but this is not required. The University of Calgary is one of Canada’s top research institutions. Calgary routinely ranks as one of the most livable cities in the world and is only an hour from the Canadian Rockies—one of the world’s most spectacular outdoor playgrounds.
